Nightmares?

So Ive been haveing terrible nightmares and ill sleep like 10 hours and still wake up exhausted i dont wake up out of these dreams at night so im sleeping through the night but why am i still so tired? Its ruining my mood during the day plus i cant get anything done for fear of these things happening in real life? Any advice on how to atleast figure them out?

Hi Poptartz, I have insomnia and hypersomnia. I also have anxiety, depression, and panic attacks from PTSD. Those symptoms are from stress so now I also have fibromyalgia. Have you had any recent lab work that may suggest thyroid problem? Since you have no complaints about pain, then being tested for fibro wouldnt be necessary. I am not very good at dream interpretation but maybe you can get a professional opinion from a phsychiatrist or therapist to work through any problems you may be having. I have nightmares regularly too, but they come from my PTSD.
