Do you think this is insomnia?
Oh yeah, I think somethings gotta give here. I really dont like the idea of upping my meds. You know? The fibro pain is bad enough but this sleep thing is THE worst at the moment.
You have GOT to get your sleep under control. The pain and brain fog triples with me if I'm not sleeping. Thank God for Ambien! I'm on the generic because of my insurance so it's only 10 mg and 50mg Amitryptiline(sp?) My drs knows the importance of sleep because I make sure to let them know how bad it is when I don't sleep. I've had insomnia all my life since childhood. Add Fibromyalgia and PTSD and well you know how that affects it. I hope you can get yourself straightened out soon.
Hi Angie we're just two peas in a pod! I forced myself to go in my room, lie down and go to sleep at 8am this morning. I write "forced" because if I didnt make myself do that, I'd still be awake. Yes, I agree. I have an appt Monday with the psychiatrist and we'll take it from there. Im taking 5mg zolpidem, another generic form of ambien, one or two at night. I think tonight I will try taking three.
On the flip side regarding the excessive sleep, I asked the pharmacist his advice on taking ambien. He told me that it wouldnt be a good idea to take ambien during these times. I would sleep up to 18 hours straight, stay awake a few hours to eat and use the bathroom, and, go right back to sleep up to another 18 hours. But, Im hoping this can get all sorted out Monday.
Ok, my insomniac friends. I took three ambien (instead of two) the trazadone and xanax at 130am. I was out before 2am. Its nearly 10am and Im seeing the sun for the first time in almost two weeks.
Oh yes, its kind of lonely when youre the only one awake and not much discussion on here late in the night. Thank you for the encouragement. It is very well appreciated! This evening, I will wait for the first sign of wanting to take a nap and take my pills again so I'll be able to sleep longer yet wake early enough to get out and pay my bills! Thanks again dear!
Last post of the day. Very tired, hard to type. falling asleep n my chair. Havea good one yall!
I woke up at 2am and thought I could just make myself comfy and fall asleep again. Then, I remembered I put that darn cat out before bed. So, got up and let her in. Now, Im just waiting to get sleepy enough to go back to bed. Got lots of things to get done for Monday but I have my plan wrote down so I dont have to keep it in my head.
Well, I guess taking an extra ambien didnt work. Its after 9 am and Im still wide awake. I guess its up to the professional. I see him this afternoon.
